Montreal’s Palais des congrès is hosting the annual ITS World Congress this week. The event provides industry leaders from around the globe with an opportunity to discuss their smart cities’ initiatives and best practices, as well as Montreal’s many innovative ITS implementations for urban transportation.
In a Ville de Montréal press release, Harout Chitilian, VP of the Executive Committee, says:
”As an urban innovator, Montreal constantly aims to stay on the leading edge of transportation technology. The city’s university capital, its Quartier de l’Innovation, its world-class research centres, namely in the AI sector, as well as its great creativity, encourage major global companies to conduct their R&D activities in the Montreal region. We have a unique ecosystem at our fingertips to ensure Montreal’s leadership as a smart city.”
