The Commission de l’éthique en science et en technologie and Université Laval’s Faculty of Philosophy invited Mr. Bengio to speak at a conference taking place at Musée de la civilisation, where he addressed current concerns and risks related to AI, as well as the positive impacts of the sector on people’s well-being. In addition to improving healthcare services, education, the legal system and mobility, AI-based technology will help put an end to certain very repetitive and dangerous tasks, which he calls ”work as slavery”.
